Type:OnsiteThe Collins Aerospace Resilient Navigation Sensors and
Avionics (RNSA) team is seeking committed engineering leaders who
are passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective GPS and
Anti-Jam solutions for the warfighter. The RNSA Program Area within
the Mission Systems Resilient Navigation Solutions (RNS) business
supports the development of new capabilities for GPS and Anti-Jam
militarized products. We are a growth-oriented organization

warfighters. The organization provides the full range of design,
analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities in
support of GPS navigation programs.The RNSA Software Discipline
Chief Engineer is a subject-matter expert who is responsible for
ensuring execution of standard work for the software discipline
across all RNSA products and programs, as well as providing support
across the broader RNS engineering organization. Discipline chiefs
play a critical role in the knowledge management cycle. Discipline
chiefs support critical Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
activities and collect the knowledge gained and ensure that the
standard work and best practices are updated to pass along that
learning. Discipline chiefs also help disseminate knowledge gained
across the organization through training, community of practice
events and other knowledge sharing means.This position is eligible
for relocation assistance.Primary Responsibilities: --- Accountable
for software architectures and designs to address regulatory and
customer specification compliance --- Accountable for using
experience to identify and apply lessons learned --- Accountable
for facilitating Design Approach Reviews, Non Advocate Reviews and
Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and corrective
action boards within the software discipline --- Accountable for
developing and/or maintaining standard tools or templates for the
software discipline as well as software roadmaps --- Accountable
for transitioning lessons learned into applicable process
improvements for the software discipline --- Accountable for
conducting software discipline health reviews --- Responsible for
mentoring teams/programs on new or redesign programs ---
Responsible for mentoring engineers within the software discipline
--- May lead the software-specific process and tools training
activities --- Serves as the organizational champion of the
Community of PracticeQualifications/Experience Needed: ---
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and
minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in
a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of
a degree, 16 years of relevant experience --- Experience in
bidding, executing and delivering large and complex software
development programs and products --- Experience in the engineering
design and development of complex products involving
multi-discipline engineering including software, hardware and
systems --- Experience with engineering development in an Agile and
DEVSECOPS environment --- Experience in training and configuration
management --- ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance or HIGHER
REQUIREDSecurity Clearance: --- Active and transferable U.S.
government issued security clearance is required prior to start
date --- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are
eligible for a security clearance --- Must have or be capable of
obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
Candidate selected will be subject to a government security
investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications: --- Software engineering experience in
the engineering design and development of real time embedded
systems/products involving GPS and Anti-Jam capability, as well as
development of avionics products in compliance with safety and FAA
DO-178C processes --- Experience in project management and safety
certification --- Prior experience with bid and pursuit work in a

Referral EligibleThe salary range for this role is 158,000 USD -
316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the
role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work
