In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various life skills areas. Pay Rate: $21.25-$22.00 Current Openings Schedule 1 FULL TIME: Wednesday- Sunday 2-10pm (North Hills) (2 openings) Schedule 2 FULL TIME: Thursday-Monday 2-10pm (North Hills) Schedule 3 FULL TIME: Friday-Tuesday 6am-2pm (North Hills) Schedule 4 FULL TIME: Saturday-Wednesday 6am-2pm (North Hills and Reseda) Schedule 5 FULL TIME: Friday-Tuesday 2-10pm (North Hills and Reseda) Schedule 6 FULL TIME: Saturday-Wednesday 2-10pm (North Hills and Reseda) Schedule 7 FULL TIME: Monday-Friday 2-10pm (Reseda) Schedule 8 FULL TIME: Thursday-Friday 10am-10pm (12 hour shifts) AND Saturday-Sunday 10pm-6am (Reseda) Schedule 9: FULL TIME: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm (Granada Hills) Schedule 10 FULL TIME: Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm AND Friday 2-10pm (North Hills) Schedule 11 PART TIME (BENEFITTED): Monday-Wednesday 10pm-10am (12 hour shifts) Schedule 12 PART TIME (BENEFITTED): Monday 2-10pm, Thursday 6am-2pm, Saturday-Sunday 3-11pm (North Hills/Northridge) Schedule 13 PART TIME: Saturday-Monday 10pm-6am (Reseda) Schedule 14 PART TIME: Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm (North Hills/Northridge) ( 4 openings) Schedule 15 PART TIME: Saturday-Sunday 6am-2pm (Reseda) Schedule 16 PART TIME: Saturday-Sunday 3-11pm (Granada Hills) Schedule 17 PART TIME: Saturday-Sunday 2-10pm (Glendale) Schedule 18 PART TIME: Saturday-Sunday 10pm-6am (North Hills) Schedule 19 PART TIME: Monday-Friday 6am-9am (Northridge) Schedule 20 PART TIME: Monday-Friday 6am-8am (Reseda) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Assists with living skill development and personal care needs of the residents as directed by the Home Manger and outlined in the resident’s individualized service plan (ISP). This may include the supervision and/or assistance of cooking, shopping, doing laundry, showering, feeding, dressing, toileting, and mobility (this may include lifting a resident from a seated or lying down position) as indicated by the resident’s need. Administers medications to residents as directed by the facility’s Registered Nurse and as prescribed by the resident’s physician. Writes documents as assigned such as case notes, medication documentation, special incident reports, and emergency drill summaries. Transports and accompanies residents to recreational outings (ie movies, musicals, parks) and medical appointments using the agency’s 8-passenger van. Assists the Home Manager with day-to-day household management duties: food preparation and cleanup, housekeeping, and laundry. Handles resident funds and facility petty cash funds in accordance with facility policy and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Because the needs of the consumers and the department often change, the individual must be willing to work in any home that is assigned. Also, when possible, must be willing to work on different days and different times than “regular schedule”. This person will primarily be working in homes designated as Moderately Challenging Homes. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requirements Must speak English. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Driving required.
