Job Description Job Description Reno Staffing is looking for Licensed Occupational Therapists for a Home Health Agency in the Reno/Sparks and local area! Shift: Varied - 1 to 2 times per week Pay: $95 per Visit Location: Reno, Sparks and local areas. Summary: A Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates patients at home, creates plans to improve daily living (ADLs) with adaptive tools, educates families on techniques, collaborates with teams, and documents everything, focusing on restoring independence in self-care, home management, and community reintegration for various ages. Key duties involve skilled therapy for motor/cognitive skills, using assistive devices, ensuring home safety, and following Medicare/regulatory guidelines, often requiring reliable transport for home visits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of home environment, physical/cognitive abilities, and functional limitations. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized plans to improve self-care (dressing, bathing), household tasks, fine motor skills, cognition, and safety. Skilled Therapy: Provide hands-on therapy, train in using adaptive equipment, and teach energy conservation/safety strategies. Family/Caregiver Education: Instruct families on techniques to support patient independence. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with nurses, PTs, and other staff for coordinated care. Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records (evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries) per regulatory standards (e.g., Medicare). Discharge Planning: Plan for patient's safe transition to independence. At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above. Essential Skills & Requirements Valid NV Occupational Therapy License. Experience in home health or acute care (often required). Knowledge of Medicare home health regulations. Strong assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills. Compassionate, detail-oriented, patient-focused. Reliable transportation for home visits Current CPR/BLS Certification Bilingual is a plus! Typical Work Environment Delivering care in patients' homes, promoting independence and quality of life within their familiar surroundings. A resume and interview are required to be considered for this position. A drug test will be required upon accepting of job offer and providing valid license.
